New game chiller helps promote local supply
We were delighted to receive a contribution today towards the cost of our new game chiller from the BASC.
By installing a chiller we will be able to supply fresh game locally helping with the BASC’s drive to promote the benefits of eating healthy, low fat, game meat.
Currently most of our pheasants and partridges end up in Belgian Butchers’ markets where game is much sought after by the local population. The UK has never seen great demand for game which is disappointing given the ready availability, healthy eating opportunities and (in our increasingly tight financial climate) the very low cost of this excellent natural food.
